I mentioned before on the forums I have a used palm treo pro. I have just realised I do not have the synchronisation software. I looked on the net and found different windows synching softwares 'free' for windows.

Am I supposed to look for the software which states it works for the 6.1 windows mobile operating system (on palm treo pro)as I cannot see that sort of thing recommended on the different downloads. The link below seems to be the closest but I cannot imagine a mobile running 6.1 windows using this. I am fairly clueless as I have never synced before. I am going to hotsync some CoPilot sat nav software. Can someone help me out. Thanks very much! Also just to say this is what I am attempting with CoPilot-.

Scrolling down this link to the title under STEP 2 saying Alternative method it shows the type of hotsyncing I need to do. Anyone with any knowledge should understand this and hopefully could advise. I have put the link in this message as I am looking for the correct hotsync software.
Thanks again! Alpine23, I've moved your post from the Windows HotSync section to here, due to the fact your device does not use that software - 'Hotsync' refers to devices that run PalmOS. Your device runs Windows Mobile.
What you use to sync it depends on the operating system on your computer. Older OS's like Windows XP use a program called 'Microsoft ActiveSync'.
Newer computers running Vista or Win7 use 'Windows Mobile Device Center: Windows Vista64: Palm's support pages have lots of information and videos to help you get more acquainted with your device: WyreNut.
I tried the download page for ActiveSync for XP computers.I am registered with Microsoft.It has a place down on the bottom of the page that askes if you want to register with Microsoft and get the download or No,you just want the download without Registering with Microsoft.I have tried both,and both go to a htm error page.Saying that the page I a looking for is not found.So,as I said I have tried just about everything to download ActiveSync.I cannot get anywhere.I am running WIN XP,32BIT,Service Pack3.
